Click
here for summary of 1st season of North Berks
league football.
The League
started as a regional structure, with four regional divisions and then from 1924-25 changed to a top strata split into two
divisions (Wantage and Abingdon), hence the play-off, with a regional Division
II (Wallingford, Abingdon and Faringdon).
Thanks to Andy Wells for collating the
historical information for the various cups, to Robert Roslyn for collating so
much league information and to Jack Loftin for the records. Almost 100
years worth of finalists and league tables. Now also to Mike Panting for his
research and help filling in many blanks.
If anyone visiting, or their parents, can help fill in some of the blanks we
would be grateful. Send any details to
Historic league tables all the way back to the
1911/12 season now available. If anyone can fill in any blanks then please
let me know.
My thanks to Ernie Tilley
who provided the tables for 1982/83.
Thanks too to Charlie
East for details of the cup final results from a very successful season for
Harwell Village in 1993-94!
